Anyone ever use a Dynacorn full quarter panel on a 68-72 el camino and if so did the bottom rear of yours look like mine? I bought a Goodmark full panel for the drivers side which looks and fits great and has the correct body lines and then i bought the Dynacorn for the passenger side only because they were out of the Goodmark brand for the passenger side which was a big mistake on my behalf.

What i found is that the Dynacorn panel does not have the correct body lines at the bottom lower rear plus it also has several other flaws that the Goodmark panel doesn't have. Paying $505.00 for something that's not molded properly is complete BS plus on top of that the place where i bought it from is asking me to pay for some of the return freight cost which is even more BS - The way that i see it is Dynacorn should be the one that pays for the return freight charge since the panel is not formed correctly but i guess they just don't care enough to stand behind the quality of their products?

First pic shows the Dynacorn bottom lower rear passenger side that has a single body line that just curves into the section below which is completely wrong plus it's also a very wavy body line.

Second pic shows the Goodmark bottom lower rear drivers side which there is a body line with an inwards bend below that plus another body line under the bend which is the correct way it should be.

I guess the Dynacorn folks figure that you'll end up doing a lot of filler work anyway, so....
I've also found many Goodmark panels that are not worth having, but they are the only game in town.

Most, if not all, aftermarket panels require work, to make them behave properly.

I have not put a quarter on one, only patches. But your pics are a great illustration of whats out there. It was a mistake to not wait for the good kind or locate another source with a matching pair, so it doesn't sound terribly unreasonable for them to want to share the return cost. Just my two cents' worth, for free. I avoided the issue on the one I did by removing a section over the wheelhouse then patching both areas and welding the same piece of skin back on. Also did the lower rear patch, and access for corrosion protection is fairly good afterward. So if theres a chance of fixing that passenger quarter, theres your other option.

When buying the cheaper partial panel skins regardless of the company name on them i would expect for them to need a lot of work which the skins always do however i would not expect that same low quality with paying $505.00 for a full panel that's supposed to be a factory style replacement. With the entire bottom being stamped incorrectly like it is the panel that i got should have been sold as being a Blem / Blemished.

I had bought several full Goodmark panels over the years myself plus buddies of mine also bought full Goodmark panels and haven't had to do very much to them. I have seen guys literally bend the living hell out of the inner structure when removing the old quarter panel and then blame the new panel for not fitting properly which it would had fit better if they would of been more careful with removing the old one. After this crap i will never waste another cent on a Dynacorn anything ever again.
