is that 9000-13000 for just the block?

that thing better be laced with titanium with gold inlays :D

if you are thinking about buying a block like that then i hope you are planning on spending 40K+ for the rest of the motor

Actually they are made from forged billet aluminum. Much stronger and better quality than cast aluminum. The sbc ones feature raised cams, splayed or cross bolted mains, etc.. I doubt anyone is using them for a rod which spends any time on the street.

Crowerjunky, what are you building exactly?

i know this i was just jokeing, as i dont think i will ever build a motor that will require a block such as this one, the most expensive motor i've built so far has cost me about 6K, that's a far cry from a 2500hp 60K, motor, don't think i will ever want to go that fast.

the best an easy way to tell ya is go to my photos

an air/swamp boat?

i wouldn't think these things need that kinda money put into a motor to make them go fast, i dont know anything about these types of boats but i would think a mildly built 350 could make one of these things hall some arse

you're welcome, it was my pleasure

i would think that one of the dart big or little M blocks would do, but if you are only looking at aluminum for weight savings then they also make good aluminum blocks that will withstand well more than 1000hp. i seriously think the one's that you were looking at in the original post are primarily for 2000hp and up all out competition motors.
