Hey I got an old 360 I was trying to spuce up but in the process of pulling the cam I broke a bearing so needless to say I'm pulling the motor now that's it's out I'm thinking about just rebuilding it rather then just replacing the cam bearings but I'm thinking about throwing a 390 crank in it and 9.5 compression so I can still run pump gas. Now here is what I bought to install on the 360 (before I broke the bearing) I got and edle Brock performer manifold and cam shaft pertronix flame thrower 2 distributor 45000 volt coil holly 600 cfm carb and set of hooker long headers now what do I need to switch up to make a 390 make 400 ish hp

If you bought the regular Performer intake instead of the Performer RPM you will gain nothing except losing about 50 pounds of weight, one of the best FE intakes ever is the Edelbrock Streetmaster hardcore FE guys love them. Yeah, 750 carb., high rise dual plane or single plane intake, better or seriously ported heads, headers/duals for 400+ HP from a 390"... especially with only 9.5:1 compression ratio...
