If you changed the heads in the past and they have accessory holes I would install a serpentine belt system and forget any worrys with the rickety system the factory used in those days. When I still used the old school set up I was taking my now ex girl friend to the air port which was a 100 mile ride. We were on the interstate doing 75, I went to change lanes and right away felt how hard it was. I pulled over and popped the hood and found the power steering bracket had broken in 2 places and slung the belt off. So I had to drive that far and through the nightmare atlanta air port traffic with no power steering. My arms hurt for days after that.
