Found these set of heads on Ebay, made in Iowa by KMJ racing. Here's what I I have so far.

-5.7 I beam rods
-Scat 9000 7.5 stroke crank
-.030 over Hypertaunic KB pistons
-with Proform 750 dp

Question is, for the price of these heads. What should I be worried about? Usually people say you get what you pay for. Are these a decent head for my combination? HEADS

Made in china!!! I have heard very bad things but also some good things as well. People have got some good numbers out of them porting them but the main problem I heard is that the casting suck as far as having flash on them. But they do sell alot of these and the new style is alot better then the older ones. Not a bad choice if you are on a budget but for a little more money you could have a much better set of heads.

you do get what you pay for, for a good motor there is no real cheap way out. if you are looking to save every penny you can then i would think you would be looking at a decent set of iron heads, and my suggestions on these would be DART iron eagle platinum series 200cc heads, or RHS pro action 200cc either one can be had from the right dealer for around 900-1100.00. if you can spend a little more i would still go with the DART's and have them cleaned up a bit by a head machinest, but if you must have aluminum then i would suggest the Brodix IK200 or Pro-filers

KMJ is fairly well known in the circle track arena and has a decent reputation. The fact that they assemble them in-house is a big plus over some others selling fully chinese assemblys, as the chinese valvetrain parts are rather crude. The Chinese castings have made steady improvement, and these seem to be the latest design as they don't look the same as the previous version, they look cleaner. Ports look a little cleaner in the pic, I'm guessing this could make a decent head if you can do a litle port blending and fine tuning yourself.

Of course there is better out there if you want to spend more, and do less work on them yourself.

I bought the 190cc #3002s from KMJ 2-2010 $619.I put them on a 355 sbc.I have had zero problems in 8000mi.
My heads flow

INTAKE EXHAUST
.1-71 ----55
.2-129----106
.3-180----138
.4-226----169
.5-258----185
.6-280----191
Those are the real world numbers as cast.
My heads had good clean castings.I got them cleaned up a little more
I had L98 141010083 heads.Ported polished, 5 angle valve job.Comp springs
My heads make very noticeable power over them
I play with my 86 iroc daily
My cam lifts 525
I spin it to 6500rpm
You have a 383.I would look at the 210cc, or the cnc heads.

But if you have more money there are better choices
look at GM FAST BURN.One of the best street heads

I had thought KMJ used the Procomp cores and added their own valve train, however I don't think PC makes a 200cc head. Not sure who makes that core for them.

If it is Pro Comp, they have improved exponentially the last 2 years. The Gen 3 heads are real nice for the price. Just skip the ProComp valve train parts. I have the 210 version with CNC combustion chambers and a light clean up. I have been very happy with them for what they are. The 210's can support 500HP as cast. Skip white has the best deal on the 210 CNC sbc heads. $415 bare, $629 built.

For the budget they are a nice piece. They just have a 3-4 year old reputation they can't seem to outgrow. Lots of bashing on the internet from folks who have not touched a new set recently.

If you can swing a grand, Profilers are USA made and a nice step up.
