I got the block casting numbers for the 302

hey guys I finally got them today.

the block is a 3970010

and he said the date code or something started with a g? I dont know what thats about..

well I know it orginally had lt1 heads on it wich were camal humps..

so any history let me know please?

As Prostreet shows...that block was used in a million different sbc's. If the blocks in a rebuildable condition (after you have it checked at a machine shop) then it will be an xlnt candidate for a good street engine......WITH THE CORRECT COMBINATION OF PARTS FOR THE INTENDED APPLICATION.

Double_v23 ...... I appreciate the heads up, I hadn't seen his art work "Critique" of the other gentleman's drawings. This guy just doesn't get it...but I do, I'm done with him. I think the Mod's need to give him a vacation.
