well thats kinda tough... does he have any reciepts or anything? are the heads a bit larger than a 302 set of heads? thats the best advice i could give u. otherwise i couldnt think of any other way
Since it's a shortblock you should be able to take a tape measure and get a reading from the cylinder deck to the top of the piston on a cylinder that is fully at the bottom. A little crude but accurate enough to determine if it's stroked.
so take a cylinder at its lowest point and measure to the top of the deck. ok i can do that but what kind of measurement should I get. what is a measurement range that i would have to be in so that i know it is a true stroker motor?? thanks
a 302 will have a 3 inch stroke, and 347 would have a 3.4 inch stroke...so about 3 and a half inches is what you should get.
