L6 Chevy Engine I.D. Numbers

We need help in identifying an L6 Chevy motor. The number stamped behind the distributor is: #FT115LB. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You

howdy there,

LB is the right suffix code.


its not a 250 or 292 from a '67-69 truck, as i looked and theres no LB code for those.

and i cant look up the gmc trucks in which also used the 230ci, unlike chevy trucks


69 was the last year for two digit engine codes so its gonna be 69 or older, and its not a 67-69 truck one

i have no way to look up car ones or anything before 67.
