Do you know what year this engine is?You should have some more numbers.

 

Look at the rear of the block right under driver side head that is the number we will need to help. it should be a longer number then what you posted. you do mean LS 6 I assume. cole

It is an in-line 6. Possibly a 1960's motor.

 

You have the right numbers they are located at the distributer on the L6.I have looked every where but i cant seem to find your numbers are you sure you have them down right.looks to me like the number you have is a trans # should be a # like F E. trying to help i will look in other books tomorrow. cole

LB is the right suffix code.


its not a 250 or 292 from a '67-69 truck, as i looked and theres no LB code for those.

and i cant look up the gmc trucks in which also used the 230ci, unlike chevy trucks


69 was the last year for two digit engine codes so its gonna be 69 or older, and its not a 67-69 truck one

i have no way to look up car ones or anything before 67.
