LT1 oil drive in a Big Block

I'm running a distributorless setup on my hot rod. If I make a boss to mount it to, and bolt that into the lifter valley, can I use a oil pump drive from an LT1 in a big block? Otherwise, what are some donors for the longer version used on the distributorless motors? I'm starting on my intake and would like to leave out the distributor hole.

It should work with a custom boss, but how will you make a boss on csst iron?

I don't have an LT1 drive to check with, but I figured I'd make the boss out of steel, and drill and tap the valley. Then I'd bolt the boss in using Loctite, and a lock tab or safety wire.
