manual steering

I just finished installing a manual steering box in my 1970 Skylark. It was not hard to do. Now I will have one less belt flopping around the engine compartment. It seems to be ok as far as turning the wheel when parked but I know it will be great once I,m rolling.

Yes, I will be drag racing it a bit but mainly I want to increase the simplicity of the engine compartment and reduce belts on the mill. It is not an insurmountable task to turn it and once I,m rolling it will be groovy. As far as squeezing into tight parking spots ,forget it. Lots of room is a good way to save on dings.
