Its pouring right now :(. I didnt get started on putting my new tranny in till later last night so i didnt get it done, i got it in the car and the crossmember bolted up. All i have to do is bolt the torque convertor, speedo cable (like 1 minute there), coolant lines (about 3 mins.) flush the radiator and the coolant lines, and thats basically, OH and hook the torque arm up. All together like 30 min to 60min of work, and it has to pour GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR:sweat:

Being an Ohio Brother I know what you are trying to say about the rain. I live like 10mins from Indian Lake and they have been declared a disaster area due to flooding. No everyone has "Lakefront Property".
Luckily where I live we haven't had the flooding due to living in the Highest Point in Ohio:D

Anyways it is supposed to be nice starting tomorrow and the rest of the weekend.:D
(although I do have a garage...it is very hard to get motivated when it is raining)

Later,
WEIMER

It's not as nice as a garage, but it is better than outside and you don't need a building permit, get a Cover-it shelter or similar. I bought one about 8 years ago and used it for material storage while I remodeled my house and then as a mini home shop to work on my bikes or whatever. I got a green house type cover and it stayed extremely warm even in the cold winter. I'm getting ready to move it to the new place and use it as.....a greenhouse. Some things have their own schedule :D .

Your working UNDER the car and you complain about the rain.....
Could be worse....I remember the time my grandfather had to help me put a starter in my 396 Chevelle in the rain....What a great guy...Then again, I'm half Irish....Dropping water makes me want to work outside!!!!
Repeat after me!!!!!
Potatoes....Potatoes....Install a tranny....

Been there before, go to Home Depot, Lowe's, Wal Mart wherever and buy a couple of those cheap plastic tarps buy one big enough to cover the car and a little more and one of the little ones. Put the big one over the car and use the little one to lay on if the ground is wet. It might look stupid but works, I've done it more than once. Put a fuel pump on a Toyota 4X4 in a downpour once, I got a little wet but not bad. I carry one in the car in case I ever have a breakdown in the rain or winter, they make a fair windbreak while changing a tire if you're out along the road and the windchill is like 40 below. Just remember to put one edge under you or it will be gone in about 2 seconds ! A 10' Sq. tarp was 3 or 4 bucks last time I looked.

Hey Camaroguy,
Where were you stationed? I worked with you Airforce guys at Greenham Common and Fairford. I was in the services and got involved with the International Air Tattoo from 1982 til 96 and I can only remember it raining on one show. Had some great (drunken) times. I didn't have a driving licence in 82 but I remember having a drive in a Dodge Ram Pickup up the runway.
Couldn't quite get airborne but it was fun trying.:nono: :D :D
