You mean Exhaust Cutouts? They are available at most of the major parts places on the net - jegs.com, summit.com, etc.

What kind of headers, undercar or megaphone style, like on a hot rod?

I am running Sanderson Limefires on my one rod, and they are normally capped, and divert the exhaust though the mufflers. If I remove three bolts on the block off plate it uncorks them.


If you are talking about undercar headers, that's another story. While there are some that have a blockoff plate, and the pipe to the mufflers comes out of the side, normally the exhaust just bolts to a cone adapter and you have to drop this when you race, or just want some extra noise.
