Hey guys I've Dug around on the Net till my Back Hurts,& I still haven't found a Push Bar/Brush Guard for my 83' FULL Size Chevy Van.

Anybody happen to know where to get one?

Will one made for older GM Trucks fit my Van???

P.S. It be Deer Country round here!
(not to mention a solid place to mount a set of FOG lights would be SWEET)

It looks like 37",(3' 1").It might not be exact because it has Bumperguards
on it,so we had to measure it from the top,& eyeball where the center of the bolts should be.

From the Center,(bumperguard) mounts to the side bumper mounts
it measures 14 5/8",(2' 2 5/8").There are #4 mounts in all.
(in case you where thinking of a like truck bumper).

It also has the "Rib" about 2/3 of the way down from the top,
running the full length of the bumper.

If you need any pics to pin it down just let me know.

I just measured my 1982 truck and it measures 25-3/4 inches between the frame end bolts, 19-3/4 inches between the frame end bolts and the bumper end support bolts, and 5-3/4 inches between the upper and lower bolts on the end of the trucks frame.

I also have bumpers off from the older Chevy trucks and those measurements are the same where the bumper mounts to the front of the framerails they are just at different angles as the older bumpers are taller and the upper brackets are different.

There may be a difference since you are dealing with a van and not a truck, I am just the opposite here. A very strong guard CAN be fabricated very quickly, as I do that kind of thing as part of my business here in welding and fabrication.

What would you charge to weld me up a nice guard, with Fog-Light Tabs?

I really like the "Older" Style, with the FLAT Sides as opposed to the Bubbly ALL Tubular "Nearf Bar" look.

I don't need the Headlight Bars extending off each side.
I'd rather have just a Straight-Up "Push Bar".

If I found one with the Headlight Guards I was going to through them in the trash first thing.

P.S. Do you Chrome them as well?
(or send them out to be dipped)

I am flattered to be offered the opportunity to do this for you, BUT shippping from here to Missouri would be killer for that.
I would say it would be much cheaper to look for a fabricator in your area, I COULD do it but not having the vehicle here for mock-up would take up quite a bit of time and trial and error with little guarantee it would fit to satisfy either of us without a bunch of luck thrown in.
I would have to send it out to be plated.

If the customer supplied the metal, I would build it to any specifications within reason for $75, with no paint, chrome, or other finish applied.
You can expect to pay double that amount in many welding shops.
You have to find a competant welder that is willing to build anything for anyone, like myself. The little guy is either too busy or lacking work, and will do something just for the sake of doing it, just check out his welds first.
Everything I send out has a "dare you to break it" weld guarantee.
