Having decided to update my 88 Corvette's transmission to a Richmond six-speed overdrive, I have three basic questions. Anyone in the community have personal experience with this enterprise, how large a hole must be cut into the floor cavity to gain access to the new shifter, and for this old man's "street rod" which first gear selection would you prefer for a country boy who seldom drives in the city, 4:06 or a 3:27 (all other gears the same except second). I have to much money, time, and love for the car to sell it and no more strength in my back to keep pulling the Doug Nash! Thanks! Garrett
