So, I'v kind of decided my truck needs a roll on bedliner. It's an 8' box, and it has been scratched up from years of use, tho the truck has never been abused, and when I got it, it had a metal cap/ tonno of sorts... What bedliner do I go for? I know Dupli Color Bed Armor doesn't look very good, and so I will not use it. I want as professional look as I can get. Rustoleum Road Warrior looks to be a decent product but gets some bad reviews saying it dries up and flakes after a few years. Herculiner seems to be regarded as the best, but also suffers adhesion issues in some cases. What product is the best? and how much will I need for an 8' Chevy box, on a '95 K1500.

I had good luck with the non commercial type of spray in liners. If you have air compressor you can buy a $25 rust proffing gun to spray it. Its hard to get it even when rolling it on and it is not very thick. I used to work at a delaership and we used some stuff made by SEM. The only prep was to scuff the paint with a scotch brite pad but on a used truck I would try anf get some of the rust and loose paint off and prime the bare metal.

I just put the Raptor liner from u-pol in mine. Not real sure on long term quality but it appears it should hold up. My FIL put on his a few months ago and it still looks good but has only had light use.

Was pretty easy to put on and my air compressor only cycled once with each coat (60G single stage). I did as much as I could with 120 on a DA and then hit the rest with a scotchbrite pad.

You can see what my bed liner looks like in the album attached below.

Going with SPI, and I will buy there GEO gun to spray it. I will also buy a gallon or 2 of epoxy while I'm at it. gonna need some for my rat rod, and I think, if I DA sand the bed down, as well as some hand sanding, then spray with epoxy, I think it will make a perfect base for the Bedliner. Have to finish building the deck first, and a few other things, but this is on the next to do list for my truck
