Can anyone tell me what size blanking plugs I need for the 2 coolant ports (heater / coolant temp sender) either side of the thermstat housing? Are these NPT? Is it possible to get the blanking plugs in non-taper thread? The idea of using a taper thread plug in an aluminum casting makes me nervous.

Thanks.

1/2 NPT. The thing to watch with Edelbrock is if they tapped the holes to deep and the tapered plugs will then screw out the bottom before getting tight, meaning you have to wrap them with about 7 rounds of teflon tape.

The holes in the rear by the dist are 3/8 NPT.

Thanks for the info; you'd think Edelbrock would have it in a tech sheet somewhere on their website.

Anti Seize can be had at any parts store in a small pack or a bottle with a brush. I use it on all manifold coolant fittings to make sure they don`t seize in the intake.
I was more concerned with cracking the casting with those taper threads. I'll just use teflon tape and be careful not to go too tight.
