It sounds like a piston is hitting a valve. Back all of the valve adjustments
off and set one valve at a time. After setting one rotate the engine over before
setting the next valve.

 

more info on the engine?
is it a stroker?stocker? c.i. ?
did it turn before you put the cam in?
drop the pan if its on and look inside it

Heres your problem, So do what automotive said and back them all off and start over do one at a time i have seen people do this and the piston hit the valve and break the valve stem off, So pay very close attention to what you have going on remember one at a time JMO. What heads are you running ont it?

it has stock stroke, its a 350, yea it spins nicely with out the valves tight.. and yea i tried doing the one valve then rotating it it gets stuck after the 5 intake valve..how could i see if its getting stuck?

 

you better yank that head off & put down some playdoe & check your piston to valve clearance.

I's obviously getting stuck if it won't rotate. Make sure the lifter is all the way down when you adjust a valve. back off that #5 and see if it rotates.

You know what you do to stop rotation, undo it. How tight are you making them? You know take the slack out and half turn?
