I read in a Turbo Hydramatic Book that if I leave the Torque Converter on the Tranny unsupported, it will ruin even a brand new pump seal.
But when I removed the TC, it seemed to fit very snugly on the input shaft. It wasn't like the TC could wobble and distort the pump seal.
Opinions?
If this is untrue, I'd like to get the TC installed this weekend. I don't like having the Tranny open to atmosphere.
