Hey all! Recently I installed a th350 Tranny that I had rebuilt by (Rogers Automotive) 1st off the shop took 3 month to get it back to me and they also did not put the manual valve body in as i requested. The total cost for stall trans rebuild for N2O was $1600. I took the Tranny to my friends shop installed new lines, cooler and ran the fluid in with the truck off the ground and blah blah. Its not my 1st time installing a th350 in the truck. The tranny worked ok did not feel like it shifted like a race tranny. I check the kick cable it was as tight as it could be at WOT plus it downshifted fine. To make a long story short before I put 60 miles on the Tranny it started to slip. I checked the fluid and was like *** metal!
Called up the shop doped it off and told them to fix it. They said I must of installed it wrong I gave him a stern look and said NO I DID NOT! Well now its there and there going to put the Manual valve body in like I requested in the begging.

My question is how do you check line pressure and what ports do I use on the Tranny so I can make sure this one is working before i drive it to the shop for them to check. I am not maid of money and want to cover all ends before the truck goes on the road.

Thanks =)

there is a port on the driver side of the transmisssion bout midway up usuallly a half inch plug, set your high PSI gauge up in there and glance through a th350 manual or even internet it'll give you a chart of what your pressures should be at idle in P aswell as R,N,D,2,1. if you can't find them let me know i just don't have it right off hand now. good luck,

A small amount of small metal filings is normal for wear in but if you have an excess amount I'm not sure how going manual valve body will help?
