Brudder,
Kinda think of sticking with the t350...maybe adding a shift kit...
but if i were to use a 2004r what kinda changes would i need to make???
ie: trans x-member,driveshaft,kickdown,etc???

the 200-4rs are the same length as the th350 so the driveshaft will work but the cross member will have to me moved either forward or back a bit. You'll need a throttle valve cable (not a kickdown) to be adjusted properly or you'll burn up the 200-4r in a hurry. Bowtie overdrives make a adjustable cable and bracket for different types of carbs. The 200-4r has a nice ratio put in some 4.11 gears to get that 283 spinning and have fun.

Dittos on sticking with the TH350. It's plenty strong for what you're doing with it. Overdrive is nice, but if your motor doesn't idle good at less than 850, If you go to a 700R4, get ready to spend at least $700 for a modified stall - lockup converter.

PrimeMover,
Yep,it's looking that way...i'm thinking
the old saying right now..."if it ain't broke
don't fix it"...the t350 works & is there
already...just gotta R&R it to put a shift
kit in....
By the way...got any room for my brother
& me up there @ the top of the world???? :D

Thanks Kimo
