Hello,My name is Cody and I have a 1961 chevy pickup that I have recently put a 350 engine and th350 tranny into. The truck drives good but when the trans fluid gets warm it starts spilling out of the end of the transmission fluid filler tube. I searched for what might be causing this problem and have heard about the vent may be clogged or blocked and is not allowing the transmission to relieve pressure. Do you think you could tell me where exactly the "vent" is and what I could do to clean it out please.

Thanks

Look at this picture. The vent is on the upper housing where the trans bellhousing starts to get larger. Small tube, may be plastic, rubber or metal. Take a piece of wire and stick it in the hole slowly, giggle it around so if any dirt dabber nest is inside it will fall out. Try not to push what ever is plugging the hole further in.
