"Staple" or "Horseshoe" shifter 1968-72 or so in various GM midsize cars (Chevelle, el camino, camaro and montecarlo)
No idea what theyre worth. Shiftworks makes a conversion to use that with a 4spd automatic. Brian Kilduff has versions with a ratchet mechanism inside.
Thomson's 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396's needed a horseshoe ratchet shifter upgrade, but he wanted to make sure to maintain the interior in the process.

Heres the article on the add-on detent plate for the Horseshoe shifter. Seems very cool.
Like others have commented. The staple shifter. It was on our '71 Z-28 to a 400 auto.
