i think rodding's like leperacy, it's never finished. my 66 tempest is finished. show quality, but stock. i don't like stock. at least it looks great. but it aint got no radio!(has a delete plate-but it's always on the same channel. my 55 truck is on the road now, so it's about done, i'm driving it to work every day does that make it finished? the wipers quit today so now i have to fix it 'for it rains-i'm in wa. that could be tomorrow! it aint painted and i need a new hood and wheels and tires then maybe a new set (as in 2 for each axle) of lower gears, gee a leather seat. still didn't put in the radio, oh yeah, i forgot to buy and antenna! then i have a 41 indian i have to strip and take to the powder coater. my wive's 66 chevy truck just showed up in the driveway so the bank could probably and hopefully re-po it and get it out of my life. when i towed it outta here it was on the stock 2by frame now it's on a mystery 4x4 frame-needed the cab back for the vin #. and her labarron needs an engine swap. gotta 82 250 YZ in my school shop with the motor at a friends - all great except i have a full time job and all my credit cards are maxed out. I GUESS THAT MAKES ME FINISHED!!!! <img src="graemlins/pain.gif" border="0" alt="[pain]" />

Finished?? Completed?? FINISHED???? I've built and sold a few, but never finished one, last one was a 65 Comet Cyclone. Never owned one that was finished, wait I did finish a Nova on a roundy-roundy track. Took 2 trucks to haul it away.

Last car I finished was a 69 Chevelle with a 454. I don't have a single picture of any car I built except for the motorcycles I did, I lost every photo in a flood we had here in 96. My favourite was my old 69 Mustang with a 351W, never painted it I left it red primer. Got more races that way.

Moral of the story...never store valubles in the basement. I now have two safe deposit boxes and a 10 Gb removable hard drive and 2Gb Jaz for digital stuff. I learned my lesson. Sigh... :(

sj, that is way cool. does the car have a history? I grew up just outside of Duluth, went to the Proctor and Superior races regularily. Moved to sunny cal in 77.

Whatcha needs now is Granny's fancy eatin'table with the pockets for silverware , the stuck on green table cloth and them pot passeres on the wall. It does make more sense than a lazy Susan.

Draglink, I hate to clue you in, but this group does know what you mean, we just focus through a prism. Look at that bunch you are hooked up with in F L A. You can't tell me they don't do the same thing. That's why you fit in so well with the rest of us.
