2007 silverado crew cab on suburban twenties.

 

1999 S10 sportside 2wd, 4 popper with a 5spd slushbox. Couldn't pull the hat off your head, but gets 25 mpg.

 

I alternate between my '88 Ford Escort (driving to work and driving home car... 28mpg), my '93 Jeep Grand Cherokee and my '94 Impala SS.

 

Lately it's been an '89 Grand Marquis ex-grandpa car with twice-pipes.

Economy is the key for a 55 miles (each way) commute - together with being reliable as the sun, plus the ability to get me home, even if the snow flies - therefore- an '89 Suzuki Sidekick (AKA Chevy Tracker, GMC Tracker, Pontiac Sunrunner, Asuna Sunrunner, and GEO Tracker) Mine is rusty as an old chain, and has 275,000 on it, but starts, runs, drives like a new one and has a heater that'll melt yer sox..

 

1988 Volvo 740 station wagon, red with some pretty severe collision damage from being rear ended. It's definitely a babe magnet ain: Turbocharged and intercool four-cylinder that would be pretty peppy if it weren't in such a heavy car, four-speed manual with electronic overdrive. Heater fan, windshield wipers, airbag, and stereo all burnt out circuit (can't find the cause) and non-functioning. Power windows decide to not work intermittently. AC doesn't work. And I think a couple of bums decided to have a fight on my hood when I was in the public library, I came out and there were dents all over it that weren't there when I went in... The car rattles, shakes, vibrates, squeaks, and shudders more than any other car I've been in.

But I'm only borrowing it from my brother until my Nova is back on the road. Can't buy another one on my college student budget.

 

1994 Gmc Sonoma extra cab with 155000 miles,4.3 4L60E,Camaro star wheels. Runs great and 21 MPG.

 

I forgot to post before that the Freightliner now has 150585 miles on the clock, and only gets an average mileage of 4.9-5.9 miles per gallon of diesel between fill-ups which range between 50 and 140 gallons each time the company dictates where I fill it up at, even though I have proven that I can find cheaper diesel somewhere else and not rack up out of route mileage to get there to save them some money, as well as fueling where I will get the most useage of my driver rewards points. Last fill-up cost around $500 and took around 136 gallons, here at the Flying J in Oak Creek, WI the diesel is now at $3.69.

 

That truck is not even broken in yet.. :thumbup:

My cool stuff is in "model kit" form in my garage as my brother says. Daily I drive my 95 SHO but now that it is on the blink for the past number of months I have been driving my 90 Chevy Celebrity Wagon

I have had the SHO at three different shops, spent over $500 and now I find out from a SHO specialist over the net exactly what is wrong and it needs another $900 to fix it. ain:

So I am driving the friggin Celebrity for a while more until I can get my hand to pry open my wallet to fix the SHO.

Funny thing is, I ended up with this Celebrity without even going to look for it. I have a buddy who has been living at my place for a while now (he lost his home) and he had this little wagon. One day my SHO didn't start and he handed me the keys. I started driving it and just paid him for the car. I still walk up to it once in a while thinking "I own a friggin Celebrity Wagon"

Last week it was a 99 Chevy Silverado Z-71 extended cab........This week it is a 2008 GMC Sierra Z-71 Four door crew cab.

 

06 Chevy Silverado Z71. Spend alot of time in the woods, I'm a Forester, I use a 4x4 the way they were ment to be used. But its a company truck, so on my off time I drive the family car - 05 Tahoe. You gessed it I'm a truck person, even the hot rod is a truck 53 GMC.

With gas the way it is becoming maybe I need a 4 banger? Do they make those with 350 HP? Guess I'll stick with the V8!

 

If it wasn't for the increased insurance and licensing costs, then I'd daily drive the 55, however, ours is a 2000 Nissan Frontier PU and a 2007 Toyota Rav 4 (can't complain about either so far)

 

Daily driver on dry days with no ice is a 2003 Harley Fatboy yearround (that's why they make heated vests). That gets me to work where I run a 90 passenger schoolbus. On wet days it's an '86 Jaguar XJS w/12 cylinder. Darn near as big as the bus :thumbup:

With a bit of luck I am here at the Flying J in Walton, Kentucky 416.1 miles to the South of where I last logged on to the 'net in Oak Creek, WI.

Headed for Cleveland, TN and from there who cares, I am not due home until March 15th.

Anyhow, the Peterbilt tractors look like lowriders right from the factory, depending upon the model. When I get back home next time, I will look into taking a couple pics of the "lowrider" I drove when I fracked oil and gas wells last summer.

I forgot to mention that this truck came from the factory with air-ride suspension, air-ride cab, and air-ride cloth bucket seats.

Now, on to the laptop stand, I built it in a couple hours, it don't look pretty but does the job at hand VERY well, I can position the laptop to be seen in every part of the cab, and the wireless mouse allows me to maneuver quite well around the net, but a wireless keypad is my next toy of choice.

When I can I will try to take better pics of the stand, which is based upon a flat screen TV wall mount sold in Walmart, with the fabricated to work in this particular situation pair ratchet-straps to hold the laptop to the .225" acrylic sheet mounted to the stand (using heat countersunk carriage bolts), and eventually it will get painted or something to match the light gray interior of the truck.

Now to finally get home to meet up with my newly aquired TomTom GPS and other accessories that took too long to arrive, so I could actually use them.
