with all of the recent posts about beer, i thought i'd ask........

mine would have to be a tie between:

Negra Modelo [good sipin' beer]
Dos Equis [good drink yourself dumb beer]
Bud [same]
Shiner Bock [good starter beer to get you ready for getting dumb]
Fat Tire [another good sipin' beer]

i like to change it up all of the time; and all of these have their very own flavor, so its just whatever i'm in the mood for.

note: light beers need not apply [cough] pisswater [cough]

Ah, My Brother ...

Well Children, allow me to enlighten you!

Here in the states I drink Becks.

A clear modestly high alcohol content beverage, it travels well.
Occasionally I indulge in a micro-brew. Most are too heavy for my taste.
Of Course, in Europe, those suckers are fff@rkin nuts! Here I'm a 5-6 beer man, there 3-4 and I'm on my @ so to speak.

I agree with your list otherwise but - *Please* put pudviser at the bottom. last resort beore no-name.

(We're not discussing no-name beer are we?)

Your Companion in Cups,
Roy.

I've not found an import i really like. mexican beers and heineken taste like a skunk fart. most dark beers are good if a bit nutty. or burnt? but hate to say, i like Budweiser. miller leaves a breakfast cereal taste in my mouth, coors, why waste my time.... shiner bock is a good hearty full bodied nutty beer. hard to beat an oil can Fosters anytime. i wish i could find a beer that tasted like cream soda. :drunk:

Right now my Top Beer eiter Abita Amber or Abita Golden.

For a drinkin night, I like Bud Ice. 6 of them and I have a good buzz goin. But If I'm taking it easy, and I want a beer that I will enjoy all night for its taste, it has to be the Abita beers.

BTW, Abita Beer is brewed about 5 miles from my house, and is sold nation wide. They have about a dozen different beer, and more for different seasons. Awesome beer. Pick one up.

That I can get in the states regularly: Mcewans Scotch ale or Hacker Pschorr

Damn. All this talk about beer...

As for just drink yourself dumb beer Coronas are always good, natty lite is pretty cheap (notice I didn't say good) anything that's not malt liquer and comes in a 40oz bottle is pretty alright by me for partying (ie MGD).

Carta Blanca if I have no other choice but beer.

Margaritas will forever dominate my blender.

Hey Larry, I found your lost shaker of salt. It wasn't my fault. :p

1. Hobgoblin (Only on special occasions, it's a stout specialty beer)
2. ANY fresh brewed red beer (Thank you Hops)
3. Killians (I hear ya Rich_Long, where you at?)
4. Sam Adams (Only with food, aftertaste is brutal on this one)
5. Budweiser (The commercials got me, only drink this with da' fellas')

coldknock, I think he was referring to the time you stepped on a pop top, blew out your flipflop, and had to go back to your room...

I'm a Beemish guy, with Guiness coming in almost a tie, then Murphey's Double Stout Chocolate Ale. For the crazy nights, it's Ice House, or MGD Light.
You got it backerds. blew out my flip-flop, stepped on a pop-top, cut my heel, had to cruise on back home.

Chocolate beer!, What is the world coming to. Beer should taste like beer, none of this Homey's New England Wheat Fart Summertime Wicked Brew Lager Ale Peanut Butter Stout.

What ever happened to real beer like Pabst Blue Ribbon. Good cheap stuff.

Nicknames

Go up to the bartender and ask for a diet Coors (or bud, miller, or what ever you prefer), most of them get the most confused look on their face and then go, " oh yeah".

Was recently in Alaska, saw an "Arogant Bastard Ale". Anybody heard of it or had it. Didn't get a chance to try it.

Another song: "********, White Socks and Blue Ribbon Beer"

Glad it's Friday:drunk:  :mwink:
