Why so much more expensive?

I wonder why the self-aligning roller rockers for 87 up center-bolt head SBC's are so much more expensive than the rockers for the early SBC heads? I don't see where it would cost very much more to manufacture the self-aligning type. Maybe it's just another way for the performance vendors to rip racers and hot-rodders.

I use offshore roller rockers in both cars!made very well and have not had any problems with-em! they are made of billet aluminum, run around $180.00 for set. If you like I can give you the pH# to order?

They are thinner so the center bolts can get passed the rockers.

Self aligning rockers are roller tipped and they are more expensive to make than the stamped rockers.

Why so much more expensive?
