I may be getting another car

1962 BelAir Boat !!!

Headers are a tight fit and frames are the X frame, will this car be a race car Hell no but my extra motor is a decent transplant.

Hooker headers 1963 CHEVROLET BISCAYNE Hedman Street Headers 68230 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

And the classic 2.5" ( NOT 2.0 ) corvette Ram horns Chevy SBC 350 Corvette 1962 63 Rams Horn Exhaust Headers w 2 5" Center Dump | eBay

Engine specs are real simple :

400 sbc .30 over dish pistons
Aluminum edelbrok RPM heads 7071
Howards single pattern .480 / .480 cam
Tunnel ram
2 x 450 Holleys

This car will be my Cruiser and will see some track time for fun racing, just want some opinions on header flow.

This motor in my 63nova started to loose power around 5800 and that was a 4-speed.

I do not plan to spin this motor over 6,000 RPM as there is no need

I have a 1962 Bel Air 327/300 equipped with factory 2.5" rams horn exhaust manifolds. The only problem is routing the 1-3 and 2-4 spark plug wires between the manifold center outlet and the block. It is a PITA to replace those wires. You must use a special two-wire retainer clip that is
attached to a oil pan bolt and a two-wire holder attached to a 1/4"-20 bolt between 1-3 and 2-4 cylinders. Those clips hold the wire against the block and prevent them from contacting the hot manifold. You must use 7mm wire and 90 degree boots on both ends of the wire.
