i'm working on a 350 ramjet in a 1970 impala for a friend. they have put 3 in line fuel pumps on the car.the problem with it is that it keeps popping and backfiring on acceleration. is this a fuel problem or something internal like a cam shaft or a problem in the distributor it has no codes i would like a little input on this due to lack of experience on this type set up.

You're saying it has three, electric fuel pumps?? Where are they located? Are they all operating?
