4L60E Shifting Problems

Hi all,

I have a 2000 1/2 ton 4WD suburban with a 4L60E transmission that is giving me fits. It started by downshifting out of OD at almost any throttle input, everything else worked fine. Checked the TPS, it is fine. Finally threw a P0751 code, stuck "A" solenoid.
Bought a master solenoid kit, both A & B, TCC, 2-3 solenoid, PWM, EPC force meter, wiring, all of it and installed it. Put a new filter and gasket while the pan was off.

Now it holds 1st gear way past the normal shifting point, and won't shift until you lift off the throttle and then bumps second on it way to 3rd. As you slow down for a turn, it down shifts into second as it should but it slips and immediately downshifts again to 1st.

Post solenoid replacement show that the "A" and "B" solenoids were not bad to begin with and it will still throw the P0751 code daily.

Any chance that the solenoid was never bad, but rather the 1-2 shift valve is hung or obstructed? The odd won't stay in overdrive is gone, but now this. I'm trying to make sure I don't have a valve body problem before I junk the tranny all together.

Thanks in advance.

Update:
It was cool this morning, 52 degrees F, so I did some experimenting on the way to work. Under extremely light throttle and cold, it did shift to second gear. While in second I was able to gain 4 miles per hour in the RPM range from 2k-4200. Obviously slipping. After some heat was built up, if I manually shifted it into 2nd, it the RPM just rev with no pulling.

I can accept it if the 2-4 band is shot, and maybe I can limp it by a bit further by installing a corvette 2-4 servo with the longer pin to apply more force, but the not having OD and solenoid change fixed it. And then a second that was pulling fine before the solenoid change is now slipping so badly has me puzzled.
