As I understand it the TH350 is 3" shorter and ther is an adapter plate for it. Can anyone help me find one? Also will the 700R4 output shaft fit into the TH350 if not what will I need to do to make the 2 Wheel drive w/6" tail TH350 work.

to put a 350 in a 4x4 you need a 4x4 350 with the extenion, the 6 in tail 350 will replace a 700r4 in a two wheel drive, bolt in. out put shaft is the same in both trannys. good luck.
U can use the th350 in place of the 700r by getting the spacer then with the spacer on the trans measure the difference then wrap up the trans real good and cut off the difference with a buzz wheel it sounds crude but it is effective trust me it does work have i done it many times
