Don, I have a '64 Silver Cloud III that was converted to a chevy 454 v8. They used a vacuum booster attached to the frame. Someone replaced it, but with a small booster that does not allow the brakes to fully release. They lock up after a dozen or so pumps of the brake pedal and then you have to wait for the fluid to slowly leave and release the calipers. What brand/model booster did you use and did you have to modify the brake bar length to make it work? Any help would be appreciated. Richard Murray

One of two problems. First the pedal to booster is to long and will not completely release the brakes OR the pin between the booster and master cylinder is not correctly adjusted. This is a very critical adjustment, using a special tool to set the clearance is recommended.
