Has anyone here used these guns?

 

I have the Sata Jet 2000, and haven't tried any other gun since I bought it. Why mess with perfection!! This gun lays base and clear down like glass. It won't spray single stage though. I have the Mini Jet also with the 1.0 tip, for small or tight areas. Other than primer guns, these are the only 2 guns you'll ever need. Dan

I've heard good things about the 2000..........but does anyone shoot base/clear with a Sata NR92 with a 1.3 tip??? How does the NR92 perform compared to the newer models?

 

I have been spraying with and NR95 for the last nine or ten years maybe one or two paint jobs a year. I still haven't been able to get the paint and clear to lay down with it like I was able to with my old Model 7 Binks.

 

I have only shot an NR95 once so I don't have anything to offer. But isn't an NR92 non HVLP while the NR95 an HVLP?

The NR95 is HVLP. I don't know about the 92 if it is green it is HVLP.

 

Here is Some info I picked up on another fourm !

the original Sata NR92 was a really crappy gun when it came to atomizing urethane topcoat paints (including clearcoats). The paint gun technology just wasn't there for properly atomizing the newer urethane paints. The results were excessive orange peel and/or runs, usually both in the same paint job.

the greens for me are good for primer base and clear but works best for clear and base, i suggest you still use the green guns for base for spots or jams
