Hey guys, this is deno with the 355 engine 671 blower. I have a question about engine surge at idle. Would it be the timing or carb adjustment ? Thanks deno---

Yes, try putting a good(one that will allow reving the engine a bit) and watch your timing. I'll bet its bouncing around. If you lock the weights down and it stops surging you could use one of the electronic distributors that advances electronicly rather than mechanical advance.
MSD of course has a box to do it, and it will do boost retard & NO2 activation if you want more power. I think they even have a dist that uses electronic advance that has a screw driver adjustment on the side for a simple drop in solution.
Hey guys, The carb's are 650 Demon blower carb's and the engine does run rich, not lean. I did notice that the timing does move around some. I'll lock out the advance halfprice5, and see if that works. Thanks guys. deno----
