One is not better than another. It all depends on the look you want. Do you want your tires out in front of the grille or even with it. The suicide front suspension with the spring perch mounted above the front crossmember will allow you to get the frame down lower in the front than one with a spring mounted under the crossmember unless you Z or pie cut the front frame rails.
