Hey guys.... I've got a Chevy 350 in an 85 Monte Carlo (or I will tomorrow anyway.... or the next day if it rains tomorrow or the next day after that if it keeps raining.... u get the point)

Anyway

I was trying to find some sort of emblem to put.... maybe on the front fenders underneath the Monte Carlo script or well... I guess that's the only good place to put it.... don't need the cops to know what I've got when they're behind me.

So... where might i find some nice 350 emblems? and tips on installing? I've no idea how I'd do this... I'd be the guy to use the double-sided tape and watch it fall off a month later if that long.. Do you use rivets? I'm lost!

Thanks for helping out the..... sheet-metal dress-up impaired

go to a car show or look through catalogs to see what kind of emblems are out there....look at cars in magazines to see what kind of 350 emblems you like for your application.
Then use the 2 sided tape. But, get some PPG DX330 to clean the body of the car and the emblem before applying the tape. It has always stayed for me....
Disclaimer.......always check on a hidden portion of the car when applying any solvent or wax......
The DX330 should clean without attacking the paint....but better safe than sorry......

The term is 'Sleeper' ... you have 6cyl badges on the side and a V8 under the hood...then at the stoplight.... bye, bye!!! As stated above airbrushing a cool 350 badge to match paint would be coolest- also most emblems have two prongs with tiny clips- drill two holes, seal holes so they don't rust-slip clips behind- done. The self-adhesive will work fine as mentioned if a good wax and grease remover is used to clean first.
