The night my dear old mama gave birth to me
some hot rod racers were down in the street
as mama lay in that delivery room
the rumble of the V8 echoed in her womb
the noise of those motors must have got through to me
'cos I was a racer before I could breath

When I was born, the nurse cried 'Lord!'
when she slapped my ***, I screamed out 'Ford!'
then when I was a kid about the age of five
I took my Daddy's Caddy and when out for a drive
I built my first car by the age of fifteen
it was a real mother-sucker of a racing machine

Well now I'm a man and I'm hooked on speed
a nitrous injection is what I need
I gotta race, I gotta ride
I got me this compulsion deep down inside
'cos when I was born, the nurse cried 'Lord!'
