I need to know what kind of torque converter I have, I'm trying to buy a high performance stall converter but having trouble to find the correct fit for mine. I thought I had a regular aod transmission but it seems like it's mildly built. I don't think this is a stock converter

Transtar # FM55B its the higher stall of the 2 AOD stock converters..

this might be close to what you have..
FM55BHP-12 AOD High Performance Street / Strip. 12” Diameter, 4 Studs.

there are enough transmission gurus on this form to know what the codes mean on your converter..

probably F33A HDHS... heavy duty high stall..

that sure looks like a C6 transmission converter... what does the bottom of your transmission look like..

see your local torque converter rebuilder to have them identify the differences.

count the splines on the pair of shafts coming out of the front of the transmission.. photograph them also.

there is a very very small chance that it is a 8,200 rpm stall converter.. that should sell for $1,295.00 on ebay.. but i could be wrong.
