i can post some pics later but for now ill just tell the problem. after mostly installing the upper perches and hand assembling the suspension. it seems i won't be able to get my camber any where near correct. things are way too positive. the upper arm is all the way back in its slots and it just doesnt seem right. i believe my problem is my cross member kit. its modeled after the heidts but the attention to detail is obviously not there. the build quality and materials are good but i wasnt impressed with things like the fit of the frame rail boxing plates ect. my fault for not just getting the heidts, shame on me.

i need some help. i was hoping for a few measurements so i can fix things or see if they are ok. i need the distance from the lower control arm bolt hole to the shock mount hole (on a horizontal plane not a straight line) . and a height from the lower control arm bolt hole to the top of the upper perch at the front and rear of the cross member.

any help with the measurements would be great. im gonna get the car on the ground and hook up the old camber gauge but these numbers would help.

I had a similar problem on my car but I just kept slotting out the upper control arm slots untill the camber came in.

It's possible that you have narrowed lower a-arms and standard uppers. Usually there is about 1/2 to 5/8" difference depending on mfg.

It's possible to have a crossmember that is too narrow and or miss cut on the kickup at the ends. I haven't seem this but it is possible. (poor quality control)

I think if the car is really lowered with short springs so that the lower control arms are parallel to the ground to slightly up at the outer ends that the camber adjustment might be more difficult. It should still be within the adjustment range however.

i would slot the perch more but the arm gets too close. i have the length between lower arm holes the member is good in that respect. the member was a smidgen too wide and the hats didn't slip on after the boxing. im sure this is how things got a tad wide. after a lot of research things look like they are in the right spot. the arms sit right.

if some1 could give me the length for stock arms that would be great.

ive read that its good for handling to add some negative camber? this is the impression ive always had and i thought the cars ive aligned have as well, but its been a while.

im considering amputating the tops and moving them in. oh well ill see when i mount the wheels

thats what i thought. well if i have to go to napa to get the arm lengths i will. the more ive looked into this, the less worried i am. if i have to move something i will.

napa should have dropped off my stuff by now so ill probably head over and lace the shoes up tomorrow see how she sits. thanks
