ok i was having a hard time getting a 9 inch rearend for my 1965 falcon i did some work for this guy and he gave me a rearend out of a 1969 rachero so i took a tape mesure to it and it was 52 inches and the cool thing is that i check the four lug on mine and it was the same all i had to do was move the spring perches the 1969 mustang and ranchero are the same so all you have to do is move the perches

I am not sure what you are measuring but the 65 Falcon measures 57 1/2 wide as well as the Fairlane series cars through 69 and Mustangs through 68. The 69-70 Mustang and Fairlane series cars measure 59 1/2 wide. All the leaf spring perches are the same width (spring to spring) on all 60s unibody Fords except for the 62-65 Fairlane/Meteor series which are uniquely narrower. The Maverick and Granada through 80 are the same as the mid 60s cars also at 57 1/2 wide and identical spring perches.

I built a 65 Falcon 2 years ago and have done several 62-69 Fairlanes and Mustangs. The Falcon HT gave up its 6+auto for a 5.0 T-5 and an eight inch 76 Granada (57 1/2 wide) rear end. A direct bolt in.
