Well installed my TCI transmission controller kit tonight, plugged everything up just as detailed in instructions and powered it up. Went through the on screen setup process and punched in all my info. killed power to it for the 10 seconds and then fired her up. Was working great, shifting through gears but then it randomly said connection error and then started to jump in and out of gear.
I was watching the Live data before I started getting the connection error and my TPS was reading properly, my RPM seemed correct and my speed seemed correct.
I shut the truck down restarted it and still have the same shifting problem. and even after re-setting it up still having same problem, randomly reading no connection and shifting in and out of gear all the time.
What i dont understand is even with the reading 'no connection' that is for the removable display (which is not needed to be plugged in all the time), seems like the actual tcu should hold the tune in memory and still shift how it originally did.
No error codes in memory and the tcu box has a solid LED which means its working properly
any input would be appreciated.
