I have a new 1996 GM 5.7 vortec engine with automatic tranny(purchased for a chevy truck). The engine is complete with TBI system including all sensers and computer. I am installing this engine in a 34 chevy street rod with a 1987 Z28 Borg Warner 5 speed. I would like the engine to look "old school" with a tunnel ram dual four setup. I have a couple issues. #1 how to get 80's dual four barrel intake to fit "vortec" heads and #2 does new flywheel require "internal" or external" balance

If the engine has a TBI, it is a 1987-1995 engine, and a tunnel ram will fit those heads with a little mod, but it will be so far of a mismatch it wont be funny.. Best bet is to get some decent 64cc heads, camshaft that will operate at about 2,500 RPM+, dual holleys on the tunnel ram and it will run decent.
